Zoom meetings are great, but I love meeting in-person.

I just got back from my annual trip to Florida to visit with our clients who live (at least part-time) in the Sunshine State. My colleague Dan Rivet and I travelled around the state and met with 14 clients in 5 days, travelling from Boca Raton, to West Palm and Wellington, to The Villages and Ocala in the north, and back down to Sarasota, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, and Naples on the Gulf coast. Zoom is a fantastic tool for client meetings, but I love seeing our clients face-to-face, especially in the warm climate of Florida.
My first reaction to our trip was that we timed it perfectly. A vicious winter storm dumped between 1 to 2 feet of snow on New England while we were gone. Our flight down was flawless, and despite a slight travel delay on our return trip, we returned on Tuesday night to find the roads (and our driveways) cleared.

The highlights of our Florida tour always include our client meetings, usually conducted in a casual environment. This year, I’m adding a few highlights of note, including the following:
Escorting my mother down to Florida for her three-month stay. We celebrated her upcoming birthday at Flagler Steakhouse in West Palm with family and friends.
I enjoyed two rounds of golf while in Florida, my first rounds since having my second knee replaced back in September. Playing with Dan, I realized how far I have to go to have any chance of winning The Foundry championship.
Watching the Patriots win a return trip to the Super Bowl while in the heart of Dolphins and Buccaneers country. I proudly wore my new Drake Maye game jersey.
Amazing food at places like Anthony’s in Naples, the Ocean Grill in Vero, the Taco Dive in Vero, Ipanema Brazilian Steakhouse in Ocala, and Kaluz in Wellington.
